Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Field Officer to join our team. Your role will include conducting site visits, interacting with local communities, reporting on project progress, and ensuring that our initiatives are executed effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular field visits to oversee project implementation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor project success and make adjustments as necessary.
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on field activities.
- Identify the needs of the community and develop programs to meet those needs.
- Supervise and monitor the work of local volunteers and community workers.
- Conduct community outreach and awareness programs.
- Liaise with local authorities, other NGOs, and stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with the policies and guidelines of the NGO as well as local laws and regulations.
- Provide assistance in fundraising activities and the development of project proposals.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate support to affected communities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, international development, environmental studies).
- 2-5 years of experience working in a similar role or in the humanitarian sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in remote locations.
- Deep understanding of community development practices.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in community outreach and engagement.
- Knowledge of local languages (if applicable).
- Familiarity with fundraising and grant writing.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
